Elizabeth Mullen Bradt |
Leona Mullen Bradt of Madison, Alabama, formerly of New Hartford, New York, died October 28, 2005, at Huntsville Hospital, Huntsville, Alabama. She was born June 28, 1914, in Utica, New York, the daughter of Michael Thomas and Lena Crook Mullen. She was a graduate of Utica Free Academy, and on September 4, 1937, married Robert Van Aernam Bradt who died on October 27, 1973. Before her retirement, she worked at Munson-Williams-Proctor Institute in the School of Art. She is survived by a daughter, Elinor Bradt Posey of Madison, Alabama, and eleven nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Ruth Mullen Hitchcock and Gladys Mullen Smyton, both of Buffalo, New York, and Elinor Margaret Mullen of Thousand Oaks, California; and her brothers, Raymond Mullen of Oneida, New York, and later Kannopolis, North Carolina, and Franklin Mullen of Oriskany, New York. She was a member of New Hartford Presbyterian Church and a former member of Genetaska Club of Utica, the Faxton Council, and the Yahnundasis Golf Club. Burial will be at Crown Hill Memorial Park in Clinton, New York, with a memorial service on Sunday, June 11, 2006.
